Short description:

A legendary English aircraft Sopwith Camel F1 that participated in WWI. This single-seat biplane became core of Antanta's air force campaign in February 1918. By the end of the war Sopwith Camel was the most popular and favorite fighter among pilots and remain such over the years among air enthusiasts.

About a prototype:
It had its first flight in February 1917. The fighter had Clerget 9Z engine of 110 horse power. The plane structure consisted of fuselage and braced biplane box made of wood with linen covering. Cowling and side walls in the front fuselage were made of light alloy.
